‘GREENERGY PARK’ is being developed by Solar Now, Inc. as an Eco-Tourist Destination and Renewable Energy Education Venue, with the goal of educating the public ‘up close and personal’ in the context of a fun and beautiful park build around a functional 100 kW photovoltaic array and 10 kW wind turbine. Support for GREENERGY PARK received seed funding of $30 K from the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust (RET) which was one-time aid for planning the transformation of the 5-acre PV and wind site. The money from MRET was spent on clearing the site and planning the park, delineating garden sites, developing trails, outlining areas such as ‘Renewable Ridge’ which is allocated for additional permanent outdoor Renewable Energy exhibits, a kids’ side-down monster sundial, two performance stages, etc. Part of the park will allow a bus-turnaround and parking at the many anticipated field-trips from communities all over the New England states.
